Living Pure Ministries
Our Mission
To Glorify God by reaching this generation with the Gospel of Christ. We desire to teach young people the Truth in relation to purity, and encourage them to become living testimonies for Christ by honoring God through purity. “Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed….” Romans 12:1
We Believe
- The Bible is the infallible Word of God
- In one true God, the Holy Trinity, consisting of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- The forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. His sufficient atonement by paying the penalty of our sins through His death on the cross.
- His bodily resurrection from the dead on the third day. His ascension back to the right hand of the Father, and His coming again for His church.
- In the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
Dating and Modesty
We realize dating and modesty can be very controversial. In order to better assist you, the following is our stand on these subjects.
- In reference to dating, we go straight to God’s Word. We answer questions like:
- What is dating?
- What is the purpose?
- What is the goal?
- We challenge youth to look at the purpose of dating, with questions such as "Is dating:
- To prove you're an adult?
- To fill an empty spot in your life, so you don't have to be alone?
- To confirm your worth or prove something to your friends?
- A decision based on peer pressure or hormones?
- To just have fun?
OR Is the purpose of dating to develop a relationship with a person; to get to know them with the goal of marriage in mind?
Our culture does not define dating relationships properly, but God’s Word does by showing us the concept of a God guided relationship. We are here to inform teens of their choices and to help them understand God’s purposes and plans for their lives in relation to purity.
We do believe, however, that dating is not to be viewed as just a fun activity, but rather a God guided mature decision that comes with responsibility. We encourage youth to go to God and their parents/guardians to pray and discuss this topic thoroughly, then to make a plan, and walk in obedience to God through accountability.
This is the same for modesty. Using the concept of “All things are lawful, but not all this are profitable,” we examine God’s desires for them to love Him first. In explaining modesty, it is imperative that girls understand how guys react visually.
We look closely at the differences between guys and girls, and the importance of not stumbling our brothers by preferring one another in love. Ultimately, it is not about clothing, but rather their relationship with their Creator. It is about their walk with the Lord, and once they grab a hold of that, modesty can almost define itself.
